Well, you get the tune -- and honestly, I can’t wait to update my Rock Band with the next round of some 15 plus tracks which features that all time favorite band The Beatles ™ Rock Band ™.
Want to see a trailer of gameplay? CLICK HERE!
.
The newly announced 15 songs represent a cross-section of hits and favorites that span The Beatles' storied career from Can't Buy Me Love and Paperback Writer to With A Little Help From My Friends and Yellow Submarine, bringing the total number of announced songs to 25.
Additional on-disc songs will be announced at a later date. From the early touring days in 1963 Liverpool to the immortal, final performance on the Apple Corps rooftop, fans can follow in The Fab Four's footsteps as they traverse the globe during the height of Beatlemania.
For the FIRST TIME in a music videogame, The Beatles: Rock Band introduces three-part vocal harmonies to gameplay, allowing gamers to revel in the unparalleled vocal stylings of The Beatles.
I can’t help but wonder if this is kind of like current editions where you can half way say la, la, la in a monotone semi-harmony and appease the “pitch” finding arrow. BUT that’s just me.
The Beatles: Rock Band will be available September 9, 2009, simultaneously worldwide in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and other territories for the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and the Wii. AND YES -- The game will be compatible with all Rock Band instrument controllers, as well as most Guitar Hero((R)) and other authorized third-party music video game peripherals and microphones.

Sundance Gets Grant of $5 Million
The Open Society Institute announced earlier this week, The Sundance Institute will receive a $5 million grant for its Documentary Film Program to help raise awareness on human rights.
The award renews the Open Society Institute's support for the Sundance Documentary Film Program, which began at OSI in 1996 and was made part of the Sundance Institute in 2002 with an initial $4.6 million dollar gift. The Open Society Institute, founded by George Soros, works in over 60 countries to promote vibrant and tolerant democracies.
"The Sundance Institute has supported documentary storytellers since its beginning," said Robert Redford, founder and president of the Sundance Institute. As a dollar-for-dollar matching grant, the Sundance Institute aims to raise $10 million over the next five years to support documentaries on significant, contemporary issues.
"This critical funding at a very fragile time is a significant commitment to supporting the belief that documentary storytelling has a meaningful role in the international work toward justice and equity across a range of issues," said Cara Mertes, director of the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program.
The Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program offers funding as well as creative, production, and distribution support to documentary filmmakers through a range of opportunities and services. These include the Sundance Institute Documentary Fund, the Documentary Edit and Story Laboratory, Documentary Composers Laboratory, Creative Documentary Producers Lab, as well as the Sundance Film Festival, Creative Producers Summit, work-in-progress screenings, and partnerships such as the Skoll Stories of Change partnership, the Channel Four Foundation Good Pitch partnership, and a variety of international initiatives and collaborations.
Since its inception in 1996, the Sundance Institute Documentary Fund has awarded grants to more than 450 films in 54 countries, from the former Soviet Union, the Middle East, China, India, Africa, North America and elsewhere. Films that have received financial and creative support include: My Country, My Country; The Devil Came on Horseback; Iraq in Fragments; and Trouble the Water.

Sigourney Weaver Narrates Documentary: ACID TEST
This week, Planet Green announced the world premiere of ACID TEST: THE GLOBAL CHALLENGE OF OCEAN ACIDIFICATION on Wednesday, August 12 at 10:30PM ET.
Featuring narration and commentary by actress Sigourney Weaver, ACID TEST is a groundbreaking documentary produced by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) that explores the startling phenomenon of ocean acidification, which may soon challenge the survival of thousands of marine species.
"The other carbon problem," as many scientists refer to our oceans' changing chemistry, is at the center of this revealing documentary. Carbon dioxide pollution is the primary cause of global warming, but it also is making ocean water more acidic. Since the industrial revolution, the ocean has absorbed a quarter of all the carbon dioxide emissions produced by burning fossil fuels -- causing a 30% increase in ocean acidity. What does this mean for life in the ocean? It's a matter of chemistry, and when acidity gets too high, the shells of sea creatures dissolve, threatening the entire ocean food web.
Such conditions haven't existed since the extinction of the dinosaurs, and the recreation of those conditions so quickly is leaving many ocean animals unable to adapt. Society can take steps to ensure the health of the oceans, but time is running out. ACID TEST reveals to viewers why it is critical to take action now, and how people can become part of the solution in securing a healthier future for the world's oceans and humankind.
ACID TEST makes its debut within Planet Green's special programming event, Blue August, a robust month of on-air and online content that brings to life the wonders and mysteries of all things aquatic -- from the majesty of our oceans to the critical issue of clean drinking water. Hosted by prominent conservationists and explorers Philippe and Alexandra Cousteau, Blue August features awe-inspiring documentaries including the network premiere of the Blue Planet series. In addition to ACID TEST, Planet Green will also premiere a special episode of FOCUS EARTH WITH BOB WOODRUFF on Wednesday, August 12 at 10PM ET that examines the state of our oceans and freshwater systems.
Blue August also features innovative and entertaining short-form content and commentary from world renowned partners and experts on PlanetGreen.com and TreeHugger.com to captivate and immerse audiences in a world of intrigue, real-life drama and the important choices that will shape our future. In addition to NRDC, Ocean Conservancy, Oceana and the United Nations Environment Programme have joined Planet Green for the month-long initiative.

Now, knowing just enough about fantasy football, golf, basketball and baseball – studying up pays off. So, you have a year to bone up on your professional fisherman before you get truly competitive on FantasyFishing.com .
There, you’ll be able to select 10 professional bass fishermen competing. So far the website’s peep’s report about 123 different countries represented online – in the game.
Okay – yes we’re talking fantasy – you earn points based off the pro’s performance like any other fantasy league. There are bonus points for somethings, and then from there – beyond the whole getting hooked on yet another “FANTASY LEAGUE”, those playing hard core – there’s money to win.
A native of Ft. Madison, Iowa, this guy named “Lawrence” has already won once – and is gearing up for the next round. He says that he dreams of getting a new bass boat to replace the bass boat he bought four years ago with his prize money. But, it's likely that his wife Stacy will have first say on his $100,000 prize.
"I'd love a new Ranger bass boat," Lawrence said, "but I think my wife has her eye on a new kitchen. And, she's also hinting that it's time to expand our family."
While Lawrence and his wife may have to "sleep on" what they'll eventually do with their prize winnings, one thing they know they'll do for sure is take their two daughters to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
So there you go – Should be fun for my fishing friends!
